Christmas Garland using Orange Slices

Items needed:

  • Oranges
  • Twine
  • Cookie sheet
  • Pizza pan with holes
  • Knife

Thinly slice oranges and use a paper towel and pat them dry.

Then either place them in the oven directly on the rack or use a pizza pan that has holes in it. I Used the pizza pan. Also, you can placed a cookie sheet on the shelf under the oranges to catch any liquid from them.

Turn the oven to the lowest setting (200 or less) and bake the oranges for 3 hours turning them every 30 minutes. If you slice your orange is too thick or do not remove enough with the paper towel, then this may take longer.

Then poke a small hole in your dried orange and then thread the twine through. You can space them however you want. I tie a knot above each slice so they stay in place!
